Gijs Lindeman – Business development & sales

Gijs’ main responsibility is to offer our import & export services and maintain relationships with our clients outside Brazil. Our focus is on small and medium-sized companies that often don´t have the experience and capital base required to open new markets. After years of working in the financial industry as a trader, Gijs moved to Brazil in 2012. Impressed by the diversity and the quality of products and ingredients that Brazil has to offer, the idea was born. In 2015 he decided with Icaro to launch Targenta Importação e Exportação de Produtos e Bebidas Ltda. Almazonia is part of Targenta and focuses on products from the Amazon basin like açaí and other superfruits. With local partnerships in Belém, at the mouth of the Amazon river, we are close to our suppliers and partners and therefor able to offer to our clients great products and ingredients against fair prices. Gijs graduated in economics at the University of Groningen in 1997 and worked in the Netherlands at Price Waterhouse and the investment bank MeesPierson. He then moved to London to work for MAKO Global Derivatives as a derivatives trader.
